The title of the book, which is also the title of one of the poems included, caught my attention as it sounded like it'd be a fun poem! There are five poems in the book, as is mentioned in the book description here on Amazon. All five poems are rhyming verses, and I can just picture a child in each situation. The poem "How Do You Tie Your Shoes" is about a child trying to tie their shoes, and the frustration that often happens. "Ants in My Snow Pants" is about a child not going to the bathroom before they got all dressed to go out and play in the snow and having to come back inside."How Do You Peel A Banana" is about the funny different ways a child might try to peel a banana. This poem about peeling a banana is also available separately in an illustrated book. "Wiggle and Jiggles at Circle Time" is about being restless when the child is supposed to be listening quietly to the teacher. "I'm Not Tired" is about the child not thinking they need to take a nap when it is rest time. This book is not illustrated; but, when reading it tonight at bedtime to my little one, he enjoyed it, and he kept asking for "one more," so I ended up reading all five poems to him. Pictures would have been nice, but it went well without. Next time we read, I'll show him the illustrated poem How Do You Peel A Banana?, as I have that book, also. As in the title of this review, it is very evident that this author knows and understand little ones. I hope to see more of her poems and books for little ones! This one is a keeper!Product details

Ants In My Snow Pants Children Poems Poems for Children Book 1 eBook Niki Alling Reviews
Was looking for a poem for my kids' school speech program.... This book helped me not at all. Lame poems, poor writing. Not cute or funny or good. Blah.
